I will take the time to type up this episode after this baby comes out! In the meantime, you can listen to this episode to learn how I went from a Protestant to a Catholic. It was a process that took more than two years.
And for those of you with Protestants in your life, here are five ways you can lead them to Catholicism.
- Know their personality type
- Invite them to Catholic events instead of Mass
- Try to introduce them to a Catholic who has a similar lifestyle
- Do they like books, videos, podcasts, online articles etc. Give them what they like.
- Pray for them and give them space.
Sterling,
I didn’t know you met your husband online – love it! The new podcast logo/image thing looks great, too!
Hoping to use some of your tips to bring my siblings back to the faith.
Happy 4th!
Victoria
Sterling,
I found your podcast recently through a Pinterest board. Let me just say, THANK YOU for telling your conversion story. This is one of the first that have really spoke to me. I am a convert who was raised Baptist. I met my husband online as well. He is an adult Catholic Convert and really helped open my heart and mind to the Catholic church and beliefs. I converted 4 years after we married. However, once I converted it has been a struggle. I also, had that warm and fuzzy feeling when I was protestant and then nothing. Most conversion stories I have heard, they were happy and really felt God’s presence…so I felt like I did something wrong, although I know this was God’s will for my life and our marriage. I will be buying all the books you mentioned! Again, thank you so much for sharing. God Bless! <3
